Voice-Over Workshops have been around for some time now.
We here in VTI have never hosted one, and we never intend to either.
The v/o business is competitive, and requires a lot of skill.
It’s also a fashionable business, so if you have a lovely clear voice, with perfect diction,( and people for years have been telling you so) you may just not have the style of voice that is in demand right now. So, your chances of getting any v/o work is slim to none.
Think about this….if you were invited to attend a Stockbrokers workshop, do you think you might be in with a chance to make a killing on the stock exchange?
Before you sign up to any workshop, do your research, who’s running it and what qualities have they got.
I’ll leave you with these three words…proceed with caution.
